🕒 Recipe Overview

  • Prep Time: 10 minutes

  • Cook Time: 15 minutes

  • Total Time: 25 minutes

  • Servings: 4

🍯 Ingredients

  • 4 salmon fillets (about 6 oz / 170 g each)

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil (divided)

  • 3 tablespoons honey

  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce

  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice (or lime juice)

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • ½ teaspoon ground black pepper

  • ¼ teaspoon salt

  • Optional garnish: chopped parsley, sesame seeds, or lemon wedges

🔥 Directions

  1. Prepare the Marinade:
In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, lemon juice, minced garlic, salt, and pepper.

  2. Marinate the Salmon:
Place the salmon fillets in a shallow dish or zip-top bag. Pour half of the honey mixture over them, reserving the rest for later. Let marinate for 10–15 minutes (optional but recommended).

  3. Sear the Salmon:
Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Remove salmon from the marinade (shake off excess) and place fillets skin-side down. Cook for 4–5 minutes, until golden and crisp.

  4. Glaze and Cook Through:
Flip the salmon and pour in the reserved honey glaze. Lower heat to medium and cook for another 3–5 minutes, spooning the sauce over the fillets until they’re glazed and cooked through (internal temp 145°F / 63°C).

  5. Serve:
Transfer to plates, drizzle with the sticky honey sauce from the pan, and garnish with parsley, sesame seeds, or a squeeze of fresh lemon.
