Chocolate Tahini Swirl Brownies

Ingredients
For the Brownie Batter:
1 cup all-purpose flour (or whole wheat pastry flour)
1/2 cup cocoa powder
1 cup coconut sugar or brown sugar
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup almond milk (or any plant milk)
1/3 cup melted coconut oil (or vegan butter)
1/4 cup maple syrup
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup dark chocolate chips (vegan if desired)
For the Tahini Swirl:
1/3 cup tahini (stirred well)
2 tablespoon maple syrup
Pinch of salt
Directions
Preheat the Oven:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Line an 8x8-inch baking pan with parchment paper for easy removal.
Make the Tahini Swirl:
In a small bowl, mix together tahini, maple syrup, and a pinch of salt.
Stir until smooth and creamy. Set aside.
Prepare the Brownie Batter:
In a large bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
Add almond milk, melted coconut oil, maple syrup, and vanilla extract.
Stir until a thick, smooth batter forms.
Fold in the dark chocolate chips.
Assemble the Brownies:
Pour the brownie batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
Spoon dollops of the tahini mixture over the top.
Use a knife or skewer to gently swirl the tahini into the batter — don’t overmix!
Bake:
Bake for 28–32 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out mostly clean (a few fudgy crumbs are perfect).
Let cool in the pan for at least 20 minutes before slicing.
Serve & Enjoy:
Slice into squares and enjoy as-is or with a sprinkle of flaky sea salt on top for extra flair.
